  Houston Money Week (HMW) is a community wide initiative to empower families and individuals with financial education.  Through the collaboration and coordinated effort of organizations across Houston and surrounding areas – including businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, non-profits, government agencies and the media – individuals of all ages will have access to financial resources and ongoing opportunities. Erika Jones is a public relations specialist for the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas, Houston Branch. She produces bank publications and assists with community programs and events such as Houston Money Week. Erika received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Sam Houston State University, a master's degree in journalism from the University of Illinois and an Executive Masters in Public Administration from Texas Southern University. She also holds a teaching certificate for grades 4 through 8. Erika is an active volunteer teacher with Junior Achievement and a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. A native Houstonian, Erika is married and is the proud mother of three.
