Houston Money Week (HMW) is a community wide initiative to empower families and individuals with financial education.  Through the collaboration and coordinated effort of organizations across Houston and surrounding areas – including businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, non-profits, government agencies and the media – individuals of all ages will have access to financial resources and ongoing opportunities. On today's show we talked with Erika Jones Public Affairs Specialist with the Federal Reserve about Houston Money Week 2018.  Erika Jones plans and implements community programs and events, produces original writing, and leads bank tours for the Conference Center. She is a Bank on Houston liaison with financial institution contacts to communicate reporting standards. She is also a member of the Houston Money Week Leadership Team, the Prairie View "Communiversity" Advisory Board, and writes and produces the employee newsletter.
