Money Quickie: Why is Superannuation important?

from Money Wellness Circle with Ros · host Ros

Accessing our superannuation can sometimes seem as realistic as winning the lotto and as complex as having a shared portfolio. In a way, both of these concepts are right. You may or may not get access to your money at 65 or 70 or whatever the government determines as retirement age. It is money taken off you like taxes and put into some shares that may or may not be good if you can take the money out. So yes, like lotto and like investing. But you have control over where that money is going and how that money is invested, and while you may not see it (let us hope that you do), the people you love will. The people you love will get financial support when they are mourning the loss of someone they love.So let's place you in the driver's seat of your Super and see how you can make it a great bonus for whatever hand you are dealt.Top 5 Tips1. Find out where your Super is. 2. Ask for other Super to be found. 3. How much $ did you make in the last FY? 4. What fees were you charged? 5. Where is it being invested?Welcome to the Money Wellness Podcast with Ros. You can sing up to my newsletter for all of the money tips here.
