A 33-year veteran of Lawrence Memorial Hospital’s mother and baby unit, she championed newborns and new nurses alike, training neonatal resuscitation teams across Kansas. Married to Steve for 42 years, she raised three children and adored her seven grandchildren, turning everyday moments into cherished memories. Known for her joyful spirit, calm presence, and infectious laugh, Monica also sang her heart out in her church choir.
