Twaalf jaar geleden trok de toen vijftienjarige Giel (Foubert) de (ongewilde) aandacht van heel Vlaanderen toen hij besloot zijn leven te wijden aan het boeddhisme in een klooster in Noord-India. Na jaren van studie en discipline bracht een zware metaalvergiftiging hem onverwachts terug naar België. In deze aflevering praat Thomas met monnik Giel, ook gekend onder de dharma naam Lobsang Nyima (warmhartige zon) over zijn roeping, het omgaan met ziekte en wat de "mind" ons kan leren over het dagelijks leven.
