Mono-tasking Produces More Than Multi-tasking

from Designing Your Life Today

Mono-tasking produces more than multi-tasking How to increase your production in less time Today's show is all about how mono-tasking produces more than multi-tasking. Pat Council shares specific strategies for getting more done, while explaining why multi-tasking doesn't work when it comes to getting more done. Many people think that because they can do bodily multitasking, they can also multitask with work projects. This is not true. Physical actions like breathing, walking, and talking at the same time do not require the same conscious effort or focus that working on projects require. Find out ways to increase your production by choosing specific projects to complete during specific times. While the brain is capable of doing quite a bit, there is just so much brain capability to use on projects at any one time. Dividing up your energy, between projects can affect your effectiveness. You will also pay the price when it comes to the amount of time you spend on a specific project. Find out why it is important not to switch back and forth between tasks. Also, be sure to listen to our new segment "A Millionaire's Moment". During our first segment of "A Millionaires Moment", we share some of the wisdom of billionaire Henry Ford. Although he's no longer living, his ideas and wisdom about achieving success are still relevant today.
