Full Version: Mont-roig del Camp: Self-Guided Audio Walk Through Miró’s Landscape This self-guided audio walk explores Mont-roig del Camp through its history, art, and landmark landscapes. It is ideal for first-time visitors, art lovers, and travelers curious about how a small Catalan town helped shape the imagination of Joan Miró. The route begins at Ca Don Joan in the old heart of Mont-roig del Camp, then moves through the village streets to places that reveal local identity, including the Parish Church of Sant Joan Baptista, the school area, and the Town Hall. Along the way, the town itself becomes part of the story, with its compact historic center and strong connection to rural Catalonia. From there, the tour widens into the surrounding landscape. You will discover the Fundació Mas Miró, the farmhouse where Joan Miró spent long periods and found lasting inspiration. The route also reaches the Poblat Ibèric de Sant Miquel and the hilltop sanctuary of Mare de Déu de la Roca, where history and sweeping views come together. The tour ends at Ajuntament de Mont-roig del Camp. The most memorable moments include standing in the landscapes that inspired Miró, visiting an ancient Iberian settlement, and taking in the dramatic red rocks and panoramic scenery around the sanctuary.
