In Michael’s legal practice at the law firm of Peterson, Berk & Cross, he has represented hundreds of employee-clients, ranging from entry to executive employees with diverse backgrounds. Michael writes frequently on employee rights issues. Michael’s articles are published in Wisconsin Lawyer Magazine, Marketplace Magazine, and the Employment Rights Section Newsletter of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Michael is also on the faculty of Solo Practice University. Here’s the logline for Michael’s screenplay: Lawyer Andrew Sykes works for people, and opposes large corporations, despite legal and political systems' barricades to the "little guy." One day, a new client walks in Andrew's office: a doctor fired by a health conglomerate after he complained of sexual misdeeds. The doctor holds a video that proves his firing was unlawful. To his shock, Andrew deems this a no-win scenario. But a montage of events (and other videos) fall into frame-aligning the fortunes of Andrew, the doctor, Avvent Health, and a disfigured voice from the past- and reveal the path to justice shall lead through one's own darkest vulnerability.
