Montes' Blast vs. Bazardo's Struggles | Spokane News

Lazaro Montes launched a record-breaking 474-foot three-run homer at T-Mobile Park, the longest since 2015, giving the Mariners a fleeting spark. But Eduard Bazardo’s shaky fifth-inning performance—giving up two homers—let the Rangers pull away for a 10-5 win. The Mariners now sit 31 games under .500, seven back of the Astros and five behind the Rangers, with nine losses in their last 12 games making playoff hopes fade. Bazardo’s struggles continue: 18 runs, nine homers in his last 24 outings. Still, Montes’ blast offers a glimmer of hope for the team’s future.
