Montreal police officers accused of racism, Criminalizing forced sterilization, Diving into whaling records, and more

Two Montreal police officers are suspended and fourteen others under scrutiny - after being accused of repeated "discriminatory and racist” acts against Black and Arab Montrealers. An active investigation is now underway. Police and city officials are promising to root out the problem and rebuild an already fragile public trust.Also: There is a long and deeply troubling history of forced and coerced sterilization in Canada.
