Montreal's Peel Pub to reopen after declaring bankruptcy 8 months ago

from The Andrew Carter Podcast · host CJAD 800

After closing its doors eight months ago due to bankruptcy, one of Montreal’s most iconic watering holes is getting a second life. The legendary Peel Pub, founded back in 1962, is reopening just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, thanks to three new owners who say they want to preserve the tradition while giving the place a modern update. One of those owners is Paul Quinn, a veteran of Montreal’s pub scene and the former owner of the Irish Embassy Pub and Grill. He spoke to Andrew Carter.
