Montrose-Based Hunting Outfitter, Guide Charged With Wildlife Crimes

The Hot T Camp and one of its guides are charged with illegally taking two bull elk and a black bear without a license, illegally transferring licenses to the animals, and hunting on private property without permission. The incident happened in 2016. Colorado Parks and Wildlife encourages reports of suspected wildlife crimes. They can be contacted through Operation Game Thief at 877-265-6648. Tips can be anonymous, and rewards are offered for tips that lead to convictions of wildlife poachers.
