Moon Head

Being bullied sucks, it really does. It’s hard to find a way to deal with it - but I learned a way to counter the things bullies would say about me. I learned to own it. This didn’t stop them from saying it, but it stopped it from having a major negative impact on the way I felt and thought about myself. I accepted it, but what made this effective was that I also accepted myself and I still loved myself for who I was. Being called moon head wasn’t fun, but it never caused me to feel less than, it never made me hate the size of my head.  Bullies will make fun of people for anything. The things we enjoy, the way we look, the way we act, these are all things a bully might pick on someone for. If we can own it, and accept ourselves we give people permission to accept who we are.
