Moral Selection (Tom Walma)

Idea: Environmental activism/engineering, where instead of trying to return nature to an arbitrary past before humans arrived, we use genetic engineering, technology, etc. to engineer the environment and the DNA of animals to make them experience more pleasure and less fear and suffering ("moral selection" as opposed to "natural selection" aka Darwinism). It's a way for humans to become "the best thing that ever happened to the universe". And it's the best option for finding meaning in life, because it's such a big task that it won't be solved/automated in many lifetimes, leaving everybody with nothing to do with the rest of their lives.
