Morally Empty (Judges 9)

What happens when a person gains power but loses their sense of right and wrong? In Judges 9, we encounter the tragic story of Abimelech—a man driven by ambition, willing to compromise truth and sacrifice others to achieve his goals. In this sermon we take a careful look at the emptiness that comes when life is built on pride, self-promotion, and a rejection of God’s wisdom. This passage reminds us that God sees beyond outward success and ultimately holds every heart and every leader accountable. Yet, even in a dark chapter of Scripture, we are reminded of our need for a better King—one who leads with humility, righteousness, and grace.Join us as we consider the kind of people we are becoming and the foundation we are building our lives upon.
