Pastor Weston Clark continues our 1-2-3 series, this week we look at 1 John 4. Again, starting off with our foundational concept for this series, that walking with Jesus means letting Him lead. Submitting to His guidance always helps us in loving each other well and growing into what He has called us to be. And we'll see today in 1 John 4, that love in grace and truth, is love that leads to change. We need the pairing of grace and truth to love each other well and to lead other in knowing God better and trusting Him more. Through John's letter we see that Jesus chose to love for us, John then tells us that love is a choice, not an emotion. That love is to be demonstrated just as Christ demonstrated it for us. Ultimately, 1 John 4 teaches us that love is not passive. It requires action.
