More on the Fabulous 1950s, WWII Govt. Surplus, Speedy Alka-Seltzer

Coming up on this edition of Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site, Ian Rose has another great report on the decade of the 1950's. Using words that begin with the letter 'C', Ian talks about celebrities such as Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe, and Hugh Hefner. Innovations in the 1950's, toys such as Mr. Potato Head and places like the Golden Arches. Programs such as the Mickey Mouse Club. World leaders such as Nikita Kruschev, and Explorers such as Sir Edmund Hillary. Ian covers all the bases of the 1950's as only he can. Smitty, Mike, and Ian talk about the cemetery where Marilyn Monroe's crypt is located. Mike talks to us about Government Surplus items that were readily available after World War II. How the U. S. Government disposed of excess material that was surplus once peacetime came. Many businesses, farms, offices, and broadcasting stations were outfitted with surplus equipment and supplies. This was possible because during the war, the United States had become a great manufacturing machine, and had won the war not only by the bravery of its armed forces, but by the sheer volume of material that was made to support the war effort. Our Retro-Commercial is a great Alka-Seltzer commercial featuring Speedy Alka-Seltzer. All this and more on Galaxy Moonbeam Night Site!
