More students but not enough housing - how the increase in international students is impacting the rental market

Post-secondary institutions have been increasing their student enrollment numbers over the past few years, largely with international students. But what they haven't done is build more residences for these students. This has caused issues in the rental market, bringing rent prices up, more investors taking on rental properties, and making it hard for students to find housing. Mike Stubbs is joined by Maurico Prado, an international student in London, who shares his story on the struggle to find a place to live. Mike then sits down with Dr. Mike Moffat, Assistant Professor at Western Ivey and Founding Director of the PLACE Centre, to break down the numbers.
