More than 122,000 cases of Gatorade recalled

from KYW Newsradio Audio On-Demand

More than 122,000 cases of Gatorade are being recalled across 37 states, including Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The recall includes 28-ounce bottles of Gatorade Lemon Lime, Lemon Lime Zero, Gatorade Orange and Orange Zero. The affected drinks have best-by dates from April 18 to June 8 of next year. The Food and Drug Administration says the labels do not disclose the presence of food dyes Yellow No. 5 and Yellow No. 6. Both dyes are federally approved for consumption, but they pose a potential health risk to individuals with specific hypersensitivities or allergic reactions. Customers can return the products to the original retailer for a full refund. (Photo by Brandon Bell/Getty Images)
