More Than a Conqueror (Jazz)

[Intro] Romans 8:37 says, “In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” And James 1:12 says, “Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.” [Verse 1] It was not a stranger who turned on meIt was the friend who shared my table and trustThe voice I knew so well now speaks dishonorWhere love once lived, the lie has come to dwellFamiliar voices try to steal the storyRejection cuts where dependence was knownBut they will not write the end the Lord favorsThe One who loves me holds the final word [Chorus] Yet I will follow You, Lord, when the voices turnYour truth breaks every lie they bearI will not repay the evil I have heardFor I am held by the One who loves meI am more than a conquerorThrough Him who loves meI am more than a conquerorIn the fire I am held by my Lord [Verse 2] The trial lingers, the days grow longI will endure this fire of testingI see the hand that holds the flameRefining what the Lord calls preciousWhat was meant for evil, He turns for goodThe testing builds a faith that standsDrawing me closer to the One who savesDeeper still into His abiding love [Bridge] Apart from You I can do nothingIn my weakness Your power is made perfectI was never meant to stand aloneI am learning, Lord, to abide in You [Final Chorus] I am more than a conquerorThrough Him who loves meAbiding in the Vine, held by graceLiving in the joy that no trial can takeI am more than a conquerorThrough Him who loves meForever held, forever lovedIn the arms of my Lord This is a public episode.
