More than an athlete - Matt de Boer [BCom '16]

COVID-19 is increasingly having a significant impact on the global community and is a rapidly evolving issue. How are our Australian athletes coping with the sudden change in their daily lives? We speak to GWS Giants player and UWA graduate Matt de Boer about how COVID-19 has impacted the GWS Giants and AFL community, his growth as a leader, and how he's been preparing for life after football. BIO Matt de Boer [BCom '16] has been a professional AFL player for 12 years representing both the Fremantle Dockers and the GWS Giants. Matt has played 188 AFL games to date and has been involved in the leadership groups at both clubs. Off-field Matt has graduated from UWA, completed the AICD Course, completed a course at Harvard and is now a Strategic Consultant for a health technology company in Perth that is about to list on the ASX.
