More Word Magic!
from Magical Guidance with Catherine · host Catherine Walters
If you haven't already had a chance to listen to Episode 5, Word Magic, I encourage you to listen to it for this episode builds on it. In this podcast of Magical Guidance with Catherine, I share more word magic that will help you find greater ease when making decisions. Do you ever find yourself agreeing to do something for someone else and then almost instantly regret it? Do you find it difficult to make decisions at times? Do you agree to help someone out rather than displease them? If you answered "yes," to any of these questions, then I suspect you may be making decisions because you are someone who's been taught to please and take care of other people first. Is it any wonder then that you find it challenging to make or trust the decisions you make? Whether you want to make a work related decision, do an activity or something for a friend, boss, or family member, do something by yourself or with others, the following three prompts will help you make a decision. I should do ____________ I choose to do _____________ I get to do ______________ When you use the word, 'should,' (or substitute - have to, ought to, must, need to) you make yourself do something you don't want to do. You force yourself into it. Afterwards you feel angry, resentful, powerless or have given into pressure. I recommend when you hear yourself say, "I should . . ." say no, for you are not aligned with it at that time. When you use the word 'could,' you have choice. You choose to say, "yes' or "no," knowing what is best for you. With choice, you feel empowered, confident and connected to yourself. When you use the words 'get to,' you feel privileged and blessed. Your energy feels light, happy, excited, aligned with your whole being and that feels magical. Then, actions flow and life feels easy. After decades of being guided to use should, could and get to with decision making, I've found these words have magic and power. They helped me feel clear and confident to make decisions that resonate and felt right for me. They also helped me trust my decisions once I made them and not waste time second guessing, doubting myself or asking zillions of other people what to do. The whole decision making process became easier. Did you feel the magic? Please share with your friends and colleagues. And make sure you subscribe to Magical Guidance with Catherine.
