US equity markets weaker as oil prices climbed and investors eyed quarterly results from some key retailers later in the week in the wake of soft July retail sales figures last Friday (14 August) – Dow fell -273-points or -0.51%. Nike Inc (down -4.03%) was the worst performer in the 30-stock index and is trading at levels not seen since September 2014. Microsoft Corp (down -3.04%) and The Walt Disney Company (-3.14%) fell over >3%. Caterpillar Inc rallied +2.93% and was one of just six (6) Dow components to advance overnight.
