US equity markets opened the new week on the back foot as investors digested President Trump’s move to raise global tariffs and amid fresh concerns around artificial intelligence (AI) disruptions to various industries - Dow fell -822-points or -1.66%, booking its worst one-day decline since 20 January. International Business Machines (IBM) Corp slumped -13.15% and was the worst performer in the 30-stock index on concerns advances in Anthropic's AI technology could affect its business.
