•US equity markets advanced as bond yields and oil prices retreated, with technology stocks trading strongly ahead of Nvidia Corp’s second quarter result after the closing bell of tonight’s AEST – Dow added +160-points or +0.30%. Merck & Co Inc (up +3.84%) was the leading performer in the 30-stock index. Goldman Sachs Group Inc (+2.18%) and NVIDIA Corp (+2.19%) rose over >2%, with the latter snapping a seven session losing streak – its longest such streak since the seven-day stretch that ended 6 September, 2022.
