Lately in the Church, I have seen things go from being literal to not so literal. While it seems that would be a good thing for someone who is trying to view things in a gray area, it is still hard to comprehend sometimes. Today, I use historical documents to view a couple of ways in which the Church has gone from literal to not so literally literal.
