Morning — December 1 — Isaiah 32:2

Each will be like a shelter from the wind, a refuge from the storm, like streams of water in a dry land, like the shadow of a great rock in an arid land. — Isaiah 32:2Jesus Christ, the eternal Son who is one with the Father, took on human flesh and willingly was struck as the Shepherd. In this, He secured our eternal refuge from the storm of God's wrath and the power of the devil. Because He is fully God and fully man, He alone is the high rock and the perfect shelter for all who hide in Him.
