For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. — Romans 8:13Grace does not just forgive sin—it trains the heart to hate it and pursue holiness. The same Spirit who brings life also supplies the power to kill the deeds of the flesh. God’s purpose in salvation is to create a people who are eager to do good, not out of duty but out of delight in Christ.
