On this Wednesday morning, an Anchorage man pleaded guilty to manslaughter in a case involving the shooting death of Diego Joe at a downtown Anchorage bar in 2024, entering a plea deal in Anchorage superior court. Family and friends are mourning the loss of Bryn Waite, 26, born and raised in Anchorage and former Service High School athlete whose body was found offshore near La Jolla Shores Beach in San Diego last week.
