Therefore, since you have been raised with Christ, strive for the things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. — Colossians 3:1Paul commands believers who have been raised with Christ to direct their affections and ambitions toward the realm where Christ reigns in glory. This heavenly orientation is not an escape from earthly responsibilities but the proper perspective from which to live them out. Because we died with Christ and our life is hidden with him in God, the pull of earthly priorities loses its gravitational hold.
