Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. — Colossians 4:6Speech reveals the heart's true treasure, and only a heart transformed by grace can speak grace. Our words either dispense the kindness we have received in Christ or expose a reservoir of bitterness. The gospel alone can excavate the old storehouse and fill it with the gold of God's own merciful speech toward us.
