For this reason Christ died and returned to life, that He might be the Lord of both the dead and the living. — Romans 14:9Because Christ is Lord of both the dead and the living, no human power or grave can loosen his grip on his people. Every breath we take and every moment beyond the tomb falls under his sovereign care. This means our entire existence—from now through eternity—is held securely in his pierced hands.
