and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and has released us from our sins by His blood, — Revelation 1:5God’s love in Christ is not a response to our worth but the source of it. Because He loved us first, His blood completely washes away our sin and secures our identity as His own people. This means our entire life—our worship, our service, our very breath—flows from what He has already done, not from what we try to accomplish.
