Morocco announces 3 suspected monkeypox cases

from ChatGPT Podcast · host ChatGPT Podcast

The Moroccan Health Ministry announced this evening it identified three suspected monkeypox cases in the country. All three patients are in good health and currently under medical surveillance, said the Coordinator of the National Center for Public Emergency Operations at the Ministry in a video statement issued this Monday. Up until this point, there are no confirmed cases in Morocco. The Ministry established an action plan to deal with the possible outbreak of the monkeypox virus, following the detection of dozens of cases across Europe. The Ministry advised individuals who suspect having the virus and experience symptoms such as fever, rashes and fatigue, urgently consult with a physician. If the doctor confirms that the patient may be suffering from the monkeypox virus, they would require to self-quarantine for 14 days, while taking treatment.
