Mortal Eclipse: A Powerless Vampire Faces Two Bloodstone Witches in Strickfield

A solar eclipse gives vampire Bella Taibon a brief taste of mortality—and her enemies a chance to strike. In Rob Fields’s “Mortal Eclipse,” Eileen Donnerly joins Bella above Strickfield to watch the sky darken. Then the Bloodstone witches arrive, transformed and hungry for revenge. Without her usual strength, speed or healing, Bella must rely on training and friendship until her powers return. This vampire survival story turns a celestial spectacle into a countdown, asking how someone who never wanted immortality will fight when she can finally lose it. Sponsored by HenFlix.com.
