Moscow Under Fire as War Escalates

Moscow reels from a massive drone strike that injured 17 and damaged buildings, sparking Russia’s vow of “massive co-ordinated” retaliatory strikes — a threat coming just as Ukraine’s Zelenskyy secures Western backing and warns Putin that if Kyiv burns, so will Moscow. The attack, involving dozens of drones, is framed by Ukraine as a strategic push for peace talks, while Russian media downplays the incident — though pro-Kremlin outlets debate defense effectiveness. Russian parliament speaker Volodin warns of harsher retaliation, and eerie reports of black rain in Moscow add to the surreal toll. Meanwhile, both sides exchanged fallen soldiers — Ukraine received 522 bodies, Russia 33 — as over 20,000 Ukrainian soldiers’ remains have been returned since February 2022, amid grim estimates of 190,000 Ukrainian and over 350,000 Russian casualties. The war shows no sign of ending. Support the show: Get a discount at https://solipillow.com/discount/dnn.
