"Most Important Election ever" not hyperbole in 2026

I’m Wyatt Cox with commentary.Two County Commission seats and six other positions are up for grabs in White Pine County along with three seats on the Ely City Council in the 2026 election.  Now everyone complains about elected officials and local government, but few people bother to vote…and even fewer throw their hat into the ring.  If you’re upset with County or City government, it’s time to step up.  The FCC won’t allow me to stay on the air while I run - equal time requirements and all - but you can.  Filing for this year’s elections is underway now through March 13th.  Go online to whitepinecounty dot net or go by the County Clerk’s office for details.  We always say that this is the most important election ever.  This year is moreso than ever.  Step up and get involved.
