Most People Have No Idea What They Actually Want

I know exactly what I want — because I did the work to find out. Here's my deep conviction after 30 years of coaching: most people, regardless of what they tell you, have no idea what they actually want. Ask what they DON'T want and they'll talk for an hour — the job, the weight, the stress, the debt. Ask what they actually want, specifically and in writing, and you can watch the fog roll in. "Happy" and "financial freedom" aren't destinations — they're moods, and you cannot build a life toward a vague mood. Why is clarity so rare? Because clarity has a price: the moment you name what you want, you're responsible for pursuing it.
