Mother Accused of Kidnapping Three Kids | Durham News

A 41-year-old mother, Jennifer Lynn Blackthorne, was arrested in Wake Forest, North Carolina, after a multi-state manhunt that spanned Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Florida. Accused of kidnapping her three young children—ages 10, 8, and 4—she’s been on the run since at least 2022, using aliases to evade capture. Though their biological mother, she holds no legal custody. The U.S. Marshals took over the case in August, and her arrest marks a major breakthrough. Each child’s case will be handled separately by their home states, and Blackthorne is set to appear in court this Friday.
