Motherhood Regret, Self-Growth, and the Places People Go to Improve

from The ProBoh Show · host Rob Grams

In the first part of today's show, we looked at the article “A trap you can't escape”: The women who regret being mothers, and discussed the complicated reality behind a topic people rarely talk about openly — parental regret, expectations around motherhood, and how society reacts when someone admits they might have made a different choice. Today's unpopular opinion was that personal growth is mostly dependent on your environment. We debated how much control individuals truly have over self-improvement, and whether the people, culture, and opportunities around us shape our development more than personal willpower alone. In the second half of the show, we asked 100 humans: Name a place where people better themselves. The answers ranged from gyms and libraries to therapy offices, classrooms, and even unexpected places where people go to work on becoming a better version of themselves.
