Mother's Day Homily by Rev. Barbara Prose

The homily was delivered on Sunday, May 10, 2015, at All Souls Unitarian Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by Rev. Barbara Prose, Executive Director of Ministry. HOMILY DESCRIPTION To build community, a few times a year we bring all three Sunday services together for a celebration. Mother's Day is one of those Sundays. It is also our annual flower communion service. You are asked to bring a flower to church to place in a central bouquet and you will be invited to take someone else's flower home with you. It is a beloved tradition at All Souls as well as in our sister churches around the world. We will hear music from all three of our children's choirs as well as a special barbershop quartet and music from New Dimensions Chorale. My Mother's Day message will not be long, but I hope it will leave a lasting impression. Bring your mother to church and stay for our Mother's Day Brunch, which will be delicious and supports our Youth Group. It should be another Sunday to remember.
