Move Across Country to Build a Legacy

from That Entrepreneur Show · host Vincent A. Lanci/ Michael Budensiek

Michael never officially graduated high school, instead opting to get his GED due to the fact that he got so far behind from working as a carpenter and spending his time at the gym working out in his teenage years. He attempted one semester of college, which he didn’t feel was for him – then became a Firefighter/EMT for his local city. Welcome to Day 3 of the Gasparilla Overload - Episode #177 on "That Entrepreneur ShowEach week since 2019, the founder of a company or brand shares what worked for them, what they needed to improve on, and all of their learning lessons along the way. This week's spotlight story discusses Lou Ferrigno. From moving across country to focusing on self-reflection and the "Fit Effect",  this episode has it all. After his 12 months of probationary fire fighting, he still had a lingering itch to get into the fitness industry, start a business, and help people change their lives. He found a trade school for Personal Training that had a 5-month course and took the leap, moving 1000 miles across the country to get it done. He went on to start as a trainer at a local gym back in his home town of Indianapolis, IN and 15 months after almost losing that job due to no sales or prospecting experience, took over the club as the Personal Training manager, leading it to record performances. In 2013, Michael opened his first Personal Training Studio and was able to open 5 locations in 5 years, which he says was a crazy ride that he would do over and over again. After moving 1000 miles across the country with his wife to Tampa, FL for a better climate and other opportunities, Michael decided to sell his first company so that him and his wife could start and focus on a brand new fitness company, The Fit Effect, with a different focus, offer, and opportunity. Michael spends his time helping develop and run the new company and also consulting other small business owners to create the success they desire. He also puts out free content with his podcast; Bald Business: The Naked Truth In Entrepreneurship. Michael says and lives by the thought that you live and learn. He also believes information is unlimited and actions are few, he want’s nothing more than to help you TAKE ACTION.LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/michaelblife/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/michaelblife/ Listen to all episodes here: https://ThatEntrepreneurShow.Buzzsprout.comWebsite:  https://www.VincentALanci.com/.For Digital Editing Inquiries and Potential Podcast Guests: Email: [email protected] Name: Vincent A.
