Move Into Your Magnificence - Dr Bary Fleet

from CaregiverDave.com · host Dave Nassaney

I was born to help people feel better about themselves. (It’s a long story!)  Professionally, I became a parish minister.  Honestly, I had a love-hate relationship with that.  (Another long story!)  In that role, I helped grow – by any measure you want to use – three congregations, each under very different circumstances.  Along the way, I became an Adjunct member of the faculty of Candler School of Theology at Emory University.  I helped originate the “Teaching Parish” program there. I earned my doctorate in Counseling at Boston University, was the Director of a non-profit counseling center, and co-founded my own counseling center.  In addition to serving local faith communities, for almost thirty years I have been – and continue to be – an Adjunct faculty member at Bryant University and Johnson & Wales University. I have been helping people in all ages and stages of life, from teens to folks in their nineties – work through feelings of guilt, inadequacy, anxiety, anger, grief, trauma and depression – just to name a few.  I have helped people work through relationship issues, life crises and life transitions. What makes me different is the wide variety of people and settings in which I have worked.  I am deeply steeped in spiritual development and am conversant in the languages of culture and spirituality, accepting people where they are and helping build a framework to allow them to develop in ways of their own choosing. Having worked with thousands of people over the years, my goal is to inspire others to realize their own inner magnificence, both in terms of becoming aware of it and “owning it” and in terms of creating a life based on it.  At the end of our time together, I want people to say “I feel good about being me!”
