Movement is Medicine
from The Growth Over Fear Podcast · host Sarah Martin
Send us Fan MailDating back to our ancestors constantly being on the move and running/walking 5-10 miles a day, we are meant to move. We have the power in our hands to choose how we would like to age. We have the choice to be active and move our bodies. We need to move to optimize our health, longevity, and overall wellbeing. Choosing not to move often can lead to poor metabolic health, loss in muscle, faster aging, physical decline, weaken immune system, and inflammation. In this episode, I share with you how we must look at our daily habits and weekly habits to see truly how often we are moving whether that be strength training, running, walking, group fitness classes, etc. Movement is medicine. It allows us to improve our joint and tissue health, lymphatic flow, and improve our metabolism. Movement can be anything that requires your body to contract your muscles and increase blood flow. I hope this episode serves a reminder to you to fall back into our childhood movements and go back to moving and relate it to playing :) Make it fun, friends!BLACK FRIDAY SALE FOR MY 1:1 ONLINE COACHING PROGRAM NOW - NOVEMBER 27TH!
