Nobody likes to be told what's wrong with them. People like to hear good news. They want to listen to the good things. That's how the ego thrives. Jesus is like, well, that's okay. But actually, both the positive and negative attributes are made up by the ego because all of them are shadows. The positive judgments are light shadows. And the negative judgments are dark shadows. But shadows are shadows and not the light. Why would you settle for light shadows? Why would you take a little bit of shade when you're pure love and light? That is what we're going for. We have to learn to be guided and come into a state of mind that transcends doubt and transcends all things that my brothers point out to me. So when your brothers and your sisters are pointing things out to you, they're just acting out thoughts and beliefs that you still hold about yourself in time and space. So actually, that's why Jesus says only full appreciation and gratitude is an appropriate response to your brothers and sisters.
