Valerio Leoni e Sofia Guidi hanno studiato entrambi teatro a Roma. Le loro strade poi si sono separate, salvo rincontrarsi nel 2016 per uno spettacolo al quale hanno partecipato da attori. Spinti dal desiderio di esplorare il mondo del teatro al di fuori dell’ambiente italiano, nel 2017 sono partiti insieme per il Grotowski Institute a Wrocław, in Polonia. Qui hanno studiato per diversi mesi, prima di partire per il Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium di Holstebro, in Danimarca, dove è proseguita la loro formazione. Durante questa seconda tappa si sono create le connessioni, i rapporti e le amicizie che hanno spinto Sofia e Valerio, una volta tornati a Roma, a fondare il Centro Labirion Officine Trasversali. L’idea è stata quella di un luogo di ricerca in campo teatrale, dove chi vuole formarsi ma non può viaggiare ha l’occasione di incontrare i maestri che Valerio e Sofia hanno conosciuto all’estero e di partecipare ai loro laboratori. A oggi il centro ha una sua compagnia stabile, diverse collaborazioni all’attivo con altri centri fuori dall’Italia, e ha da poco presentato il nuovo spettacolo Gassa d’Amante al Holstebro Festuge, l’evento che celebra i 750 anni dalla fondazione della città danese di Holstebro.
