La danza è sempre stata presente. Questo vale sia per Josè Limón che per Elettra. Il primo, messicano che emigrò negli Stati Uniti negli anni “20, rivoluzionò il panorama della danza moderna. La seconda, un centinaio d’anni dopo, ne sta apprendendo i movimenti, anche grazie a una residenza a New York lo scorso giugno, proprio alla Limón Dance Foundation. Oltre ad aver terminato un percorso accademico in giurisprudenza, Elettra non ha mai smesso di seguire la sua passione per la danza. Dopo essersi avvicinata alla tecnica del messicano durante la pandemia, si laurea all’Accademia Nazionale di Danza, continua ad allenarsi a Roma, avvia un progetto di ricerca personale parallelamente a un lavoro come insegnante, e proprio in quest’ottica nasce l’idea di partecipare al Summer Dance Intensive 2024: cinque giornate di studio sul repertorio di Josè Limón, attraverso la collaborazione con esperti del settore, insegnanti e il direttore artistico Dante Puleio.
