Mozeliak’s Angels Overhaul
from MLB Baseball News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
John Mozeliak, the Cardinals’ former GM, is now interim GM for the Angels — tasked with turning around a decade-long losing streak without rushing to replace himself. He’s focused on the big picture, prioritizing the trade deadline and draft, while leaving scouting to the director. No clear mandate from ownership on trading stars, but he’s already scouting GM candidates and aims to have a permanent hire before his contract ends in December. After 30 years building a Cardinals dynasty, Mozeliak’s not chasing another 100-hour workweek — but he’s ready to lay the groundwork for a winning culture.
