The return to Málaga, 60 years later, of photographer Joel Meyerowitz.Welcome to “Photographer on journey”, the podcast of the exhibition “Joel Meyerowitz. Europe 1966–1967”, presented at the Museo Picasso Málaga from 15 June to 15 December 2024.Late 1966. Málaga is opening to international tourism, and the contrasts of the Costa del Sol—modernisation alongside hardship—become the raw material of Meyerowitz’s new photographic language. On these streets, he stops chasing a single “moment” and begins to photograph complexity: overlapping actions, competing focal points, and the ambiguity that gives an image its charge.
