Mr. Miacca | Moral Stories

This cautionary tale follows Tommy Grimes, a boy who repeatedly disobeys his mother's warning not to leave the street. He is caught twice by the fearsome Mr. Miacca, who intends to cook and eat him. Each time, Tommy uses his cleverness to escape: first by tricking Mrs. Miacca with a promise of pudding, and the second, more frightening time, by tricking Mr. Miacca into chopping a sofa leg instead of his own.
